2019 RV Grand Karneval Maskenball

This is the Grand Karneval Masquerade Party youve been waiting for! If youve never experienced Mardi Gras done the German way, you havent experienced Karneval!

Prinz Wilhelm I. invites you to Komm Fly mit Uns to Karnevals most celebrated event. Throw on a costume and party with us at this Vacation-Themed evening filled with excitement, entertainment, and craziness only the Germans know how to bring to Karneval. This years Maskenball will be held one week before the actual Mardi Gras weekend to allow our club to participate in the Grand Karneval celebration in Mainz, Germany where we will in the large Rosenmontag Parade on our Float with our sister club from Lörzweiler, Germany.

So hop on board this wild ride to experience a side of Germany that Oktoberfest cant touch. This is your chance to once again dress up in your favorite Halloween costume to party and dance to the live music of the two featured Bands this evening:
The Voodoo Zydeco and Paloma Bands! Remember the theme for this evening is Vacation, but dont fret if you want to dress as Superman.

The evening starts out at 6:11 PM and features performances by the celebrated Chicago Mardi Gras Fanfaren Drum and Bugle Corps and the Rheinischer Verein Amazonen Dancing Girls. Prinz Wilhelm I. with his Prinzessin Darlene I will reign over the Grand Parade in the Hall on his float with all the pomp and circumstance.

Throughout the evening the Voodoo Zydeco and Paloma Bands will provide you with non-stop Mardi Gras dance tunes that will have you wanting to party all night long. To top things off there will be prizes awarded to the best looking costumes of our guests in categories of Best Group, Best Couples and Best Single.

To nurture your appetite there will be a German Pork Schwenkbraten Buffet, which must be purchased in advance for $ 15. Bar Food such as Pizza will be available for purchase without a pre-order. Of course, this event would not be Karneval without plenty of German and American Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages.

If thats not enough for you, the party will continue on Monday, February 25 at the Chicago Hofbräuhaus in Rosemont to let your hair down with us for the Rosenmontag celebration that evening.
