The Mysteries of Orpheus

Orpheus was the first musician, the first poet and the first story-teller - the first composer of myth, for mythos is story; and all nature crowded round to hear him.

He lost his greatest love to Death He journeyed to the Underworld in an attempt to find her, but his real journey is to find his own soul. He takes his music, his story, his song, and it has power down there.

He walked among the Shades , still singing, he suspended their suffering, but could not assuage his own. Is hell where we cannot weep and cannot rejoice?

Join us and you will encounter many Divine Beings, Mythical Beasts, face challenges and choices, and maybe even get a glimpse into the Mystery of your very own being. As Orpheus realizes the Divine nature of his Soul, we also yearn to reconnect with that Divine spark within ourselves.

Held as a weekend retreat the Cornet Bay Retreat Center at Deception Pass State Park, Oak Harbor, WA.
