Join us at Drury High School for our second Drury After Dark comedy show on Thursday, February 7th at 7pm!
Moody McCarthy is the Spotlight stealing comic that has clubs managers and colleges across the country asking Where did you find this guy?!
Originally born Matthew, Moody was born into a large Irish family, where someone always receives a nickname. He did numerous shows in New York while living in Syracuse before moving to the Big Apple.
This millennium has been good to him: hes also been featured on Last Comic Standing, Star Search (the 2003 reboot), and Americas Got Talent. (Oh, and look for him soon on HGTV's "House Hunters".) Hes performed at the best clubs in the land (including the world-famous Comedy Cellar) and can be heard on SiriusXM.
Moodys material is described as original but universal, and smart without being trite. Couple that with a disarming stage presence & in-the-moment chops, youll see why hes earned the admiration of his peers for his ability to go up cold. From corporate outings to pubs, this versatile performer will brighten any event.

Opening the event is Mike Speirs, a very funny New York City based comedian whose likability and quick wit allow him to connect with any audience. Armed with an engaging storytelling ability, open and honest material and well-crafted punch lines, Mike is making a name for himself performing across the country. Whether he's in a comedy club, theater, casino, college, at a corporate event or private party, crowds everywhere agree...Mike Speirs is hilarious!
In addition to Mike Speirs, Drury's own Quintin Demarsico will be opening the show as our Emcee, with his own quirky material. He guarantees a good laugh for any age!
