There is growing anxiety due to the feeling of being buffeted by economic forces that are not understood and beyond our control.
Those forces are actually the logical outcomes of the design of the large systems affecting our lives: the money and banking system, the economic system, and the financial system. The very design of those systems is causing some of the largest problems we face as a society: increasing levels of debt, economic instability, concentration of wealth, loss of democracy, environmental and climate disruption.
Essential Knowledge for Transition provides an understanding of those systems, shows how we can redesign them, and talks about alternatives being tried in the US and around the world. http:// www.ek4t.com

Marco came to the US from Italy as a Fullbright Scholar in mathematics & economics at UC Berkeley. After a stint in the financial industry, Marco obtained an MFA as a visual artist working on the intersection between public art & ecology. He later managed equity portfolios primarily for large foundations. In 2009 Marco left the finance industry and was instrumental in the development of the Slow Money Northern California chapter where he leads the investor working group. In 2012 Marco led the design & launch of the Soil Trust, a national Slow Money philanthropic revolving fund for food & farming enterprises.
