The Detective Michael Morgan Jr. Foundation and Ritacco's Midtown Bar & Grill invite you to participate in an evening of fun, friends, drinks, music and memories, old and new, in celebration of our fallen hero, Detective Michael Morgan Jr. Proceeds raised from the event will directly benefit The Det. Michael Morgan Jr. Foundation.
The Detective Michael Morgan, Jr. Foundation was created, in September 2012, as a non-profit organization to honor the memory of Newark Police Detective Mike Morgan, who at the young age of 32, sacrificed his life doing what he did best; protecting others.
The primary goal of this foundation is not only to assist the families of Fallen Hero's, but to aid in the well being of any ill, living Emergency Response personnel (Police, Fire, EMS) and their families. Our second goal is to provide scholarships to exceptional student athletes. Detective Morgan was an All-Star athlete and leader, who believed in the importance of participating in sports while demonstrating strong values in sportsmanship. As the foundation evolves, the ultimate goal is to give back to the community as Detective Morgan would have, by creating programs to encourage and empower inner city children.
