"Dance is many things, but in its ideal form it communicates ideas, provokes thought, initiates social change and rejuvenates the human spirit. At its best, it's understood, appreciated and experienced by people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities."
'knees and toes/NYs and TOs', produced by TOES for dance (www.toesfordance.ca), will showcase performing artists from NYC and Toronto in several short works by new generation and established choreographers from around the world. Designed to make contemporary dance accessible to new audiences, this concert strikes a balance between innovation and entertainment. An emotional roller-coaster of tragedy and comedy will carry you through this mixed program that will also include experimental and abstract ideas.

David Earle- awardee of the Order of Canada, founder of Toronto Dance Theatre
Belinda McGuire- dancer with Doug Varone/Limon Company and esteemed solo artist
Darshan Bhuller- world-renowned artist, former director of Phoenix Dance Theatre (UK)
Cindy Salgado- performer with Crystal Pite's Kidd Pivot
Alejandro Rodriguez- graduate of the Juilliard School (drama)
David Norsworthy- TOES Co-Director, graduate of the Juilliard School
Kristen Carcone- TOES Co-Director, graduate of New World School of the Arts
Kelly Shaw- dancer with ProArte Danza, graduate of Ryerson University
Garth Johnson- dancer with Sleep No More NYC, graduate of the Juilliard School
Colleen Snell- graduate of LADMMI and London Contemporary
