Godspell is a musical by Stephen Schwartz and a book by John-Michael Tebelak.
The musical is a fun, modern day retelling of the New Testament parables from The Gospel According to Matthew. The show is at times comedic and at times sentimental. The cast of characters often use their own names as they help explain to the audience the teachings of Jesus Christ. Notable songs include 'Day by Day,' 'Turn Back, O Man,' and 'All for the Best,' among others.
