This is a trio we first had assembled at a St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn back in 2017. The three musicians were soo delighted with how things sounded, and the audience so beguilded, that they got together again and again, including at a Summer concert for WGBH in Rockport. (Just added....Keegan Loesel a wonderful young piper/singer who just moved to the area will be with the amazing young box player, Rory Coyne to open.)
So, here they come to the Burren Backroom and are ready to blast thru some tunes and songs.
Keith Murphy is a well-established singer and instrumentalist, originally from Newfoundland, now living in Brattleboro, Vt. He has been a member of Nightingale, and Childslplay and currently amongst his many projects has a duo with harpist/singer Maeve Gilchrist.
Joey Abarta, is a celebrated Uilleann Piper/Whistle-player originally from LA, but now living in Boston.
Haley Richardson has been turning heads from a very young age, and tho still only 16 years old, has garnered a reputation as one of the finest traditional Irish fiddlers in the world. She most recently won the coveted Fiddler of Dooney competition in Sligo.

The Burren Backroom series is now well established as one of the most sought-after boutique series of trad presentation in the world. It has already created already dozens of memorable, intimate, informal presentations held in a truly atmospheric space which was founded by well-known traditional musicians Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello in Davis Square, Somerville, Massachusetts.
Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music. As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
