TWO BY WHARTON, presented by The Wharton Salon
The Wharton Salon celebrates its Fifth Anniversary at The Mount August 14-25, 2013 with TWO BY WHARTON, two light-hearted one-act short stories from Wharton's early and late writing newly adapted for the Salon.
ACT ONE: The Quicksand (1902) adapted by Alison Ragland, directed by Catherine Taylor-Williams, featuring Ariel Bock, Wesley Cooper, and Ava Lindenmaier. INTERVAL: By popular demand, tea and cookies will be served at intermission backstage! ACT TWO: The Looking Glass (1936) adapted by Elaine Smith, directed by Daniela Varon, featuring Jane Nichols.
Total run time: 2 hours including a 15-minute intermission.
The performances are presented in the air-conditioned historic Stables at Wharton's summer home, The Mount, Lenox, Massachusetts.
