Save the date for the Sixth Annual Oakland Public Library Advocates Holiday Mixer, from 1-3 pm, Sunday, December 2. Join us at the glorious African American Museum and Library at Oakland for food, festivities, and an inspiring program.
We're excited to tell you about this year's program. Some of OPL's talented librarians will talk about their favorite programs, including the 2017-18 Tech Classes at Eastmont and West Oakland Branches, supported by a mini-grant from the Friends of the Oakland Public Library. The "Quicker, Safer Trip to the Library" program at West Oakland will also be featured, as well as the Main Library's Community Kiosk programs and services.
We'll top that off with a performance by Oaklands 2018 Vice Youth Poet Laureate, Samuel Getachew.
