Holidays from Around the World
Join Orchestra Miami for the second concert in the Nicklaus Children's Pinecrest Outpatient Family Fun Series: Holidays from Around the World is a family-friendly exploration of different cultures and the holidays they celebrate around the world! Enjoy the Lion Dancers from China, choirs from France and Germany, dancers from Spain and much more!
Special guests include dancers from Nach Bollywood Style dance company performing a traditional dance form called GARBA from the state of Gujurat, in India to celebrate the Hindu Festival of Navaratri, dancers and musicians from the Ballet Folklorico de Miami performing dances and songs celebrating El día de los muertes, Lion and Dragon dancers from the United Chinese Association of Florida performing traditional dances for the Chinese New Year, a choral performance of western Christmas holiday favorites, a sing-along and much more.
The concert is on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest, FL 33156. The performance lasts about 1 hour and is appropriate for children of all ages. Advance Sales tickets are just $10 for Children (ages 3-17), $12 Seniors (65 & up), $15 Adults; and $12 for Children, $15 Seniors, and $18 Adults at the door.
