MILE HIGH HA-UL w/ comedians SAM TALLENT, NATHAN LUND & TIMMI LASLEY
Known widely as the best mid-sized comedy city in the country, Denver, Colorado is home to some very funny people. This Black Friday (November 23, 2018) three of the Mile High's funniest are escaping the city madness and bringing the their best jokes, gags and bits to Trinidad with them! Join us for a 10pm show at Las Animas Grill for an evening of comedy with Sam Tallent, Nathan Lund and Timmi Lasley!
Known for whip-quick wit and rollicking improvisations, Sam Tallent is one of the sharpest, most original rising talents in comedy today. He has been called "the absurd voice of a surreal generation" by the Denver Post, and, when not maintaining a "Black Flag-esque tour schedule" (Savage Henry Magazine), Sam has worked alongside many of the biggest names in comedy, including Louis CK, Dave Chappelle, Doug Stanhope, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress and TJ Miller. Sam has performed at the Oddball Comedy Festival, High Plains Comedy Festival, Hell Yes Fest, the Chicago Comedy Expo and the NY Film and Television Festival. Sam regularly headlines his hometown club, the legendary Denver Comedy Works. He recently won his battle on Comedy Central's Roast Battle, and was seen on VICELAND's Flophouse as well as the Chris Gethard Show. His writing has been published on VICE.com. He just moved back home to Denver from Las Vegas with his wife and his dog.
Nathan Lund has travelled the country and is a favorite at Denvers Comedy Works. He was featured on the TV show "Flophouse" on the Viceland network as well as the BBC2 show "Horizon". Nathan was a part of Funny or Die's Oddball Comedy Fest, Crom Comedy Festival, Savage Henry Fest, Orlando Indie Comedy Festival, and the High Plains Comedy Festival. He is the host of the podcast One on Lund and is the reigning Denver Comedy Champion.
A constant promoter of Denver's DIY comedy scene, Timmi Lasley is the creator and manager of the award-winning Comedy RoomRoom, an intimate venue which produces over 200 comedy shows a year and is home to some of Denvers most popular indie shows. She's been invited to perform at a growing numbers of festivals around the country, including Altercation Fest, CROM Comedy Fest, the Underground Music Showcase, Red River Comedy Fest, Cream City Comedy Fest, and every year of the High Plains Comedy Festival thus far. She's opened for Kyle Kinane, Nick Vatterot, Sean Patton, Craig Gass, and Dean Edwards. Timmi has become an accomplished storyteller and often works with Denver's premiere storytelling show, The Narrators. She can also be seen hosting Denver's Moth Story Slam or writing and producing original plays.
