Music of the British Isles
So much wonderful choral music comes from the British Isles, from folksongs and sea shanties to classical and contemporary works. In this concert Via Choralis combines with guest instrumentalists and dancers. Highland Dancers and Collaborative Pianist Sandra Fletcher to bring you toe-tapping airs and beautiful melodies from 5 centuries, including excerpts from Benjamin Britten's Choral Dances from Gloriana, settings of folksongs by Mark Sirrett, Alice Parker and Jonathan Quick, as well as other works composed originally for the Kings Singers.
