2018 Yule Ball
NOTE: DUE TO THE VENUE'S RESTRICTIONS, THE YULE BALL IS 21 AND OVER ONLY.
THE BALL
On Saturday, December 8th, we invite everyone to join us at the Tiffany Center's Emerald Ballroom for the 2018 Yule Ball! It will be an evening of dancing, music, inspired cocktails, sweet treats, and magic! Throw off your muggle drag for the evening and don your best wizard wear to mingle with your fellow magical persons. (Muggle street clothes are strongly discouraged. Dress robes, formal wear, and any other wizarding clothing are welcome.)
The historic Emerald Ballroom features a large dance floor, soaring ceiling, ample fixed theater seating around the edges of the room, and is fully accessible. This year, we will also be opening the balcony to our Very Magical Persons and Vanishing Champions' Feast ticket holders.
Well need all that room, because the Yule Ball is first and foremost, a dance! DJ Switch is returning to crank out the tunes to get you moving, and we'll once again be featuring a performance from nerd rock legends Kirby Krackle!
GENERAL ADMISSION
A general admission ticket is all you need to join us for a magical evening! Included with general admission is a sweet treat courtesy of Hungry Heart Bakery. Butterbeer cupcakes, anyone?
THE VERY MAGICAL PERSON TICKET
Of course, there are some people who enjoy a little special treatment, and for those magical folks, we are offering a limited number of Very Magical Person tickets. Our VMPs will have everything a general admission ticket has, plus special access to the balcony and the Champions' Bar AND an express lane entrance to the Ball. Spend less time in line and more time dancing!
THE VANISHING CHAMPIONS' FEAST (Starts at 5pm)
Are you a Champion? You may want to join us for the Vanishing Champions' Feast! The Feast ticket includes early entry into the Ball, a multi-course dinner (with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options), an assortment of magical swag, and access to the Emerald Ballroom balcony and Champions Bar.
When buying your Vanishing Champions' Feast ticket, you will be selecting your own table. This will allow parties to sit together more easily and you'll have the option to purchase an entire table! Whether you want to dine at The Leaky Cauldron or Ilvermorny, you will have the chance to gather your own personal DA for the evening.
NOTE: After the Feast, all the tables will be removed from the dance floor. I repeat, ALL THE TABLES WILL BE VANISHING TO MAKE ROOM FOR DANCING! However, the Emerald Ballroom balcony will be open to all Champions, providing you the perfect place to stash your swag, rest your weary feet, and look down upon the masses. Youll also find the Champions' Bar in the balcony foyer, ready to pour you a butterbeer or three.
Get the School Champion treatment, all without having to fight off a herd of grindylows or navigate a malevolent hedge maze!
WHO WE ARE
The Harry Potter Alliance is an international non-profit that has promoted literacy, equality, and human rights since 2005. PDXpelliarmus is the Portland Chapter of the HPA, and we do our part by supporting local organizations that are working to make our community a better place through drives and fundraisers, as well as encouraging activism and civic engagement.
All proceeds from the 2018 Yule Ball will be donated to a charity partner, to be announced.
