Men on Boats
Ten explorers. Four boats. One Grand Canyon.
History may laud the nautical explorations of men, but what happens when women take the helm? Find out in MEN ON BOATS, a gender-bending theatrical ride down the Colorado River.
Based on an 1869 expedition into the Grand Canyon led by Major John Wesley Powell, Men on Boats tells the tale of a one-armed captain and a crew of insane yet loyal volunteers who quickly become embattled in a struggle for their lives as they face dwindling supplies, dangerous wildlife, and a deluge of "Rocks! Rocks! Rocks!"
Join us for the inaugural production of the Yard Dogs Ensemble and enjoy a harrowing, rapid-filled play featuring an all female cast.
ADVISORY: this production utilizes strobe lights.
