Solidarity Medicine-Making Root Harvest
The second part of the Root Harvest event will take place at Create Place, where we'll be chopping up the roots harvested at Phytology's medicinal meadow*.
Herbalist Rasheeqa Ahmad (Hedge Herbs) will guide participants in making a simple cough syrup for personal use over the winter months. There will be a shared lunch and collective sharing about winter remedies from our different cultural traditions.
Please bring a vegetarian contribution for the shared lunch
and your own plate/bowl and utensils.
*We don't know exactly how long we will be spending at Phytology harvesting the roots and exactly when this indoor part will begin- our guess is around 11.30am. No need to book to help harvest the roots at Phytology at the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve, starting at 10am, but please do book if you plan to be at this part in Create Place as there is limited space!
