BRIDGET EVERETT HAD TO CANCEL FOR THIS SATURDAY- WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO RESCHEDULE.

"a woman with more personality and drive than one body can handle. A pure id on the rampage" - ny times

"When Hurricane Bridget hits the stage at Joe's Pub or elsewhere, prepare to be blown away.astonishing" - Time Out New York

"She's Wynonna Judd meets Melissa Etheridge, via the local bar floozy, on a rocket ship out of Twin Peaks"  Michael Musto, The Village Voice

"Tremendously entertaining" - The Wall Street Journal

"Like a Midler 2.0, vamping from tender to outrageous" - The Villager

NY TIMES:
Multiply the mouthy, flesh-jiggling early Bette Midler by one hundred, give her the super-plus-size figure and fashion sense of Divine, the John Waters diva, and the manners of a Flintstone, and you've got a rough approximation of Bridget Everett, the alt-cabaret star who roared around the stage of Joe's Pub on Wednesday evening.
It wasn't all chaos and provocation. There is her voice, a towering, authoritative bluesy belt that means business and that can unexpectedly shade into a softer, semi-folk style. That formidable instrument is Ms. Everett's calling card, her ace in the hole, her artistic raison d'ĂȘtre around which everything else coheres. After all her raucous comedy, it focuses a performer for whom entertaining and provocation are synonymous.

Music was only one component of a show in which Ms. Everett and her very good band, the Tender Moments (Mike Jackson on guitar; Adam Horovitz, a k a Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys, on bass; Matt Ray on piano; and Carmine Covelli on drums) sang original songs, several of them singalongs, most with unprintable lyrics about lust and body parts. Her special guests included the theatrical singer Tonya Pinkins and a close friend, Larry Krone, who played ukulele. At one point Ms. Everett climbed up on the piano and removed her dress to bare a torso plastered with American flags: a blowzy Statue of Liberty parody.

Ms. Everett thinks nothing of lunging into the audience and messing with patrons in pseudosexual games that involve sprawling across a table, her legs spread; planting kisses on men and women alike; and behaving like a drunken girl gone wild.

There is a point to all this madness. Like other alt-cabaret stars on the Joe's Pub axis, Ms. Everett is a practitioner of extreme self-expression and rule breaking in a neighborhood not so far from Wall Street. Recently she has inspired no less than Patti LuPone to share the stage with her. Ms. LuPone has since described herself as "a downtown girl."

And Ms. Everett exhibits the same flailing intensity that Ms. LuPone brought to the role of Momma Rose in the recent Broadway revival of "Gypsy": a woman with more personality and drive than one body can handle. A pure id on the rampage, she has a pointed message: Deal with it.
