Sweet Charity @ DPAC
The Drury Stage Company is proud to announce performance dates for their fall production of Sweet Charity, a musical directed by Liz Urban on Thursday November 8, Friday the 9th, and Saturday the 10th at 7:00 along with a 2 oclock matinee on Saturday the 10th.
Written by Cy Coleman, Sweet Charity is a lively musical that first premiered on Broadway in 1966. In this musical, Charity Hope Valentine works as a taxi dancer at the Fan Dango Ballroom, run by a crusty old man named Herman. Charitys coworkers and best friends, Nickie and Helene, try to convince her to give up on love after she is constantly let down and manipulated. However, Charity continues to persevere.
