The Georgia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus
THE GEORGIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND CHORUS Presents Works of J.S. Bach and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Bach's joyful Cantata No. 11 (1735), also known as the Ascension Oratorio, will be contrasted with Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs (1911).

On the program will be Bach's Cantata #11 and Ralph Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs, which sets poems by George Herbert from his 1633 collection The Temple: Sacred Poems in this work for strings, baritone and chorus. Both pieces are lovely works celebrating the season of Easter.
