The Glass Menagerie by the Fleeing Artists
The Fleeing Artists Theatre is proud to continue its first season with Tennessee Williams' masterpiece, "The Glass Menagerie".
SYNOPSIS
This semiautobiographical play is told to us by the narrator Tom, who recounts his days as a young man in St. Louis in the 1930s, living with his overbearing Southern mother Amanda and his introverted sister Laura.
Laura, incapable of independence or connecting with anyone, prefers the company of her delicate glass animals and her phonograph records. Soon Amanda, concerned for her daughter's future, sets events into motion which will alter the fates of her children irrevocably.
An American standard, this memory play features poetic language and haunting music. A must-see for any theatre-lover.
