CHEFS NIGHT SUPPER CLUB at Paula Estey Gallery
Paula Estey Gallery has launched an unusual event plan for 2018, Chefs Night Supper Clubs. We do them every other month and just had our second one on August 23rd. We hold them on Thursday nights so that our guests can relax toward the end of the week, get pampered with food, art and spirits, visit old friends and meet new ones, and all so that weekend plans dont have to be interrupted or considered.
The idea was the brainstorm of PEG marketing director Heather Cathcart and owner Paula Estey. With each Chefs Night, we pair a new artist to feature, a local chef to work with, a local spirit company, florists and dessert makers. The atmosphere is one of collaboration and during each event, we introduce and have a 5-10 minute presentation from each vendor. Our clients and friends are learning about local businesses and the prosperity is shared. Both evenings have sold out resoundingly.
On our second Night we added a roving saxophone player to serenade us, as Chef Tony Carbone cooked pizzas on the street.
The greatest return on these Chefs Nights has been the excitement with which our community has welcomed this. The idea of showcasing so many talented vendors and artists expands their experience and allows the Gallery to really penetrate into our community. We truly feel that we are a neighborhood art gallery showcasing regional works of excellence, and catering to a warm, inviting art experience for all. This is a new model for an art gallery and we are thrilled to be at the forefront!
