Sybarite5 at the cell--- premiere by MIke Block

Winners of the Concert Artists Guild Competition, and following an international tour, SYBARITE5, a string quintet dedicated to mold-breaking programming, returns to the cell on December 7 at 8:00pm for their last concert of 2018. Sybarite5 will premiere the string quintet version of "Iniche Cosebe" by Mike Block and will feature the music of Glen Roven with Mezzo-Soprano Blythe Gaissert.

Passionate about music education Sybarite5 will also be performing music from Grieg's Holberg suite side by side with a group of elite string students from the Elisabeth Morrow School.

Comprised of Sami Merdinian and Sarah Whitney, violins; Angela Pickett, viola; Laura Metcalf, cello; and Louis Levitt, bass, Sybarite5 has taken audiences around the US by storm. From Radiohead to Mozart, this group of talented, diverse musicians has changed the perception of chamber music performance.

The Arizona Daily Star declared that Sybarite5 audiences should "expect an experience that will satisfy your inner rock star..." We'll leave it at that.
