Oak Park Preschool Parenting Workshop - Preschooler Health
Brought to you by First United Nursery School and the Collaboration for Early Childhood, this workshop will explore preschooler health and wellness issues from common preschool illnesses and when to call your doctor to toileting issues and everything in between. There will be plenty of time for Q & A.
Led by local pediatrician, Dr. Heather Haukness.
Dr. Haukness has been a pediatrician at Pedios Pediatrics in Oak Park for 19 years. She trained at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, now Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and remains connected to the physicians there by participating in outpatient research, consulting with specialists and mentoring medical students. She especially enjoys her role as an educator of parents and patients, following children from birth through adolescence. She is married and stays busy keeping up with her two children, now ages 13 and 16, and new puppy. She also enjoys photography, cooking, farmer's markets and reading.
