Sugarloaf History Hike (postponed)
POSTPONED: stay tuned for new dates and details ************************************************** Join Sugarloaf Historian, Larry Maniscalco, who recently wrote the book (literally!) on Sugarloaf. This history hike takes the Meadow-Hillside loop and you'll hear from every era of Sugarloaf's past. The Park was established in 1962, but the area has a rich history and indigenous tribes had lived in the Sonoma Valley for more than 12,000 years. Meet at the white barn. The hike is $5 for adults, free for students, Sugarloaf members, volunteers, and those under 18.
A Sugarloaf Reader is on sale at the Visitor Center and online [https://www.amazon.com/Sugarloaf-Reader-Cultural-History-Ridge/dp/1719366365/]. Proceeds support the park!
