Author Stephen Fried is an adjunct professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and the University of Pennsylvania & an award winning investigative reporter and New York Times bestselling author. His earlier books include Thing of Beauty: The Tragedy of Supermodel Gia, Bitter Pills: Inside the Hazardous World of Legal Drugs, The New Rabbi, Appetite for America and, A Common Struggle: A Personal Journey Through the Past and Future of Mental Illness and Addiction co-written with Patrick Kennedy.
