Second Annual Farmer/Chef Mashup
Who: Central Midlands farmers, chefs, farm to institution & farm to school personnel, distributors, buyers, food writers, & local food leaders in the region. This event is not intended for the general public.
What: This will be a two way conversation between chefs, institutional buyers and farmers. The intention of the event is for farmers to know what chefs & buyers need & want in order to sell to them - and for chef and buyers to know what farmers need to be and do in order to market their products to them.
There will be two tracks: One for farmers and one for chefs & buyers. Each track will consist of a panel of presenters with prepared remarks followed by questions, answers and discussion. When: The afternoon of October 8th, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm Cost is $25.00
This covers Little bites and libations before and after the event.
An informal gathering after the event will offer little bites and ADULT libations. The plan is for everyone to mix and mingle, make contacts and develop new business relationships. Please bring business cards!!!

The morning of the Farmer/Chef Mashup at city roots there will be a workshop taught by Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA) Sarah Bostick. It is meant for farmers who mean to move into wholesaling their products. .
