Please join us for the annual Acadia National Park Science Symposium on Saturday, October 20th, 8:45-4:30!

The symposium will provide a forum to hear about science taking place in the region and to interact and build collaborations with scientists, students, park staff, and others working in a range of fields.

Sessions include:
Engaging students in science education and research at Acadia National Park
Managing Success: Using science to preserve resources and protect visitor experience at Acadia National Park
Science informing a second century of stewardship in national parks
Poster sessions open to anyone doing research in the region

Registration Deadline - Registration will close October 2.

Posters - Participants are invited to present posters describing their research at the Acadia National Park Science Symposium. We welcome and encourage posters from a wide range of disciplines, including natural sciences, social sciences, and the arts and humanities. Please note that the title, authors, and abstract must be included in your registration.

Poster guidelines - Our stands can accommodate posters up to 41 inches wide and 41 inches tall. We can accommodate a limited number of audio-visual equipment associated with posters. Please note this on your registration. We will provide pins for mounting posters at the symposium.

K-12 teachers may receive a certificate for 7 CONTACT HOURS if they attend the full day of the conference. Certificates are available upon request. Teachers should check in at registration and pick up their certificate at the end of the day. More information will be available at the registration table on Oct 20.
