WNCA Annual Meeting
The Board of Directors of the Western North Carolina Association of the Southern Conference of the United Church of Christ call its members to the 51st Annual Gathering

The Future of the Local Church  Following Christ in a Changing World
Saturday, October 6 from 9:00am  3:00pm
Abernethy Laurels Retirement Community in Newton, NC

The day will offer a blend of speakers, interactive table discussion, working lunch breakouts, and our always popular business session and elections. Well interweave worship throughout our time together, with great music and short reflections from a diverse group of WNCA pastors. The final version of annual meeting materials will be posted on the website by October 1  be sure to visit wnca-soc.org to download meeting materials.

Voting Delegates are determined by WNCA Bylaws Article I.3
The voting delegates of the Association shall consist of: the ordained, licensed, and commissioned ministers, and directors of religious education certified by the Worship and Education Ministry Team of Local Church Ministries of the United Church of Christ holding standing in the Association, and two lay delegates selected by and representing each local church within the Association. Additional lay delegates may represent churches of over 300 members, based on church membership as reported to the UCC Yearbook (DataHub)  Churches of 301500 members: three lay delegates (total); 501700 members: four lay delegates; 701900 members: five 5 lay delegates; over 900 members: one additional lay delegate per each additional 200 members or fraction thereof.

Your representatives serving on the WNCA Board of Directors thank you for your commitment to our Association, and we look forward to your presence and participation at the Annual Meeting.
