Historic Knight Foundry Guided Tour
Knight Foundry, set in the heart of Sutter Creek, California, is America's last water-powered foundry and machine shop. Established in 1873 by Samuel Knight, this extraordinary facility includes the unique historic equipment and machinery, still in place in its original context, just as it was during its Gold Rush-era heyday. Knight Foundry is an educational resource that provides a unique window into Amadors history and heritage.
The Foundry is offering tours beginning at 9am and 10am for the Yelp Gold Country group on Friday, September 14. Your tour will be guided by experienced docents, some of whom actually worked at the Foundry before it ceased operations in 1996. Tickets are $10.00 per person. Tours are limited to 25 participants per tour.
