3rd Annual Cider Makers Dinner

Meet the Makers!

Enjoy an exclusive evening with the cidermakers at the 3rd annual Cider Makers Dinner.

The one-of-a-kind evening will take place at the Olalla Winery with serene views of the vineyard as the backdrop.

Each year, the dinner is conceived, created and served by award-winning local chefs paired with some of the most amazing ciders produced in the Pacific Northwest, poured by the cidermakers who make the magic in the barrels happen.

This year's dinner will feature epicurean works by Chef Laura Smythe, of Le Garmache. The cidermakers presenting in a special blend of flavors and fun are Kevin and Mark Van Reenan of Pear Up Cider from East Wenachtee, WA and Casey Oberg of Ole Swede Cider from Tonasket, WA.

Savor regional ciders and perries masterfully paired with the farm-fresh seasonally inspired menu.

Included in the six-course dinner is a welcome pour and passed appetizers upon arrival, a cider to pair with every course, and a handcrafted take-home cider vessel by local potter Jana Fisher.

The interactive dinner immerses you in the experience, as you learn about each course and how it pairs with a particular cider (or perry, as the case may be). And, this year, our host winemakers Maryellen Houston and Stuart Chisholm join to present a special treat, their 2013 Vintage Port, with the dessert course.

The evening's ambiance is set with multi-textural acoustic guitar by Rob Rigoni. Cidermakers share tasting techniques, cider lore, explain the process from orchard to glass and more.
