The Comedy of Pericles, Prince of Tyre
In this new adaptation of one of Shakespeare's lesser known works, four actors tackle over forty roles and embrace the comedy of the play, all on board a real sailing pirate ship!
When Prince Pericles is targeted by a murderer, he flees his homeland and sets out on an epic journey that crosses the Mediterranean. On the way he meets an abundance of outrageous characters, finds love, loses love, and gets shipwrecked (multiple times) before he can return home and claim his throne. This new version, written in a modernized iambic pentameter, is told through classical performance, original music, clown, puppetry, movement, and lots of comedy. Sit back and relax as you enjoy a performance before the backdrop of Toronto's legendary skyline, while you enjoy a cold beer on our fully licensed boat.
