Japan Flood Relief Benefit hosted by JACC
In response to the severe damage caused by the unprecedented rainfall and flooding in Western Japan, Japan-related community groups in NYC have come together to raise much needed relief funds.
Please join us for this collaborative fundraising event hosted by JACC (Japanese American Community Coalition).
This includes JMSA (Japanese Medical Society of America ), JAA (Japanese American Association of NY), HAA (Hoshuko Alumni Association ), JETAANY (Japan Exchange & Teaching Program}, USJC (U.S.-Japan Council), NY Japanese American Lions Club and JACL-NY.
Net proceeds from this Japanese sake and food tasting event will be donated directly to the survivors' recovery efforts in the affected areas, through the Japan Flood Relief Fund established by the nonprofit organization JAA, Japanese American Association of NY, and are tax-deductible.
Premium sake, beer and wine will be available as well as a delicious array of Japanese-inspired small plates will be prepared by Chef John McCarthy of OKA. All of these goodies are included in the price of admission.
Dress is Summer Chic.
Register early as space is limited. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
For those wishing simply to make a donation, you can do so online through JAA (***Please specify under writing notes that this is for JAA's Japan Flood Relief Fund): http://jaany.org/donate.html
