Next to Normal
The Costa Mesa Playhouse continues its 54th season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, playing August 17 to September 16, 2018. A humorous and unflinching look at a suburban household coping with the unpredictability of a mother's worsening bipolar disorder, Next to Normal has been called one of the best musicals of the 21st century and one of the best original soundtracks in a musical. "The New York Times" called it "much more than a feel-good musical; it is a feel-everything musical."
Directed by Jason Holland with musical direction by Stephen Hulsey, Next to Normal stars Elizabeth Bouton, Marc Montminy, Leianna Weaver, Hunter Berecochea, Trevor Coran, and Garrett Chandler.
