Beer Pairing Dinner with FiftyFifty Brewing Co.

The dog days of summer calls for something out of the ordinary. That's why Chef David Smith of Alder Creek Cafe is teaming up with the brew masters at FiftyFifty Brewing Co. to host a one-of-a-kind beer and food pairing on Saturday July 21. Learn about five different beers, sample individually and enjoy each with a paired small plate prepared by Chef David.

MENU PAIRINGS:

1. Mexican Lager with citrus shrimp and halibut ceviche, chili lime popcorn, cilantro microgreens
2. Hefeweizen with rabbit sausage and white bean cassoulet, thyme brown butter
3. Tahoe Tessie I.P.A. with arugula, fried green tomatoes, basil aioli
4. Donner Party Porter with braised boneless short ribs, mushroom and oat risotto, Parmesan cheese
5. Annularity (Blonde Barley Wine aged in bourbon barrels) with Bartlett pear crisp, bourbon caramel and Chantilly cream

When: Saturday, July 21
Hours: 6-8PM with 1st pairing starting promptly at 6:15PM
Where: Alder Creek Cafe
Cost: $50 per person. Must be 21+

This event takes place at the Alder Creek Cafe located in the Alder Creek Adventure Center in beautiful Tahoe Donner. The Trailside Bar will be open for additional beer and wine purchases.
