Asheville Conscious Family Dinner #3: Featuring Noah Proudfoot and the Botanicals
The NOHM AVL Conscious Family Dinner is a series of local dining experiences in the greater AVL area. This experience is curated for the LOCAL community thematically each season. We invite local farmers, herbalists, and business owners in the food and drink industry to the drawing board where we happen to curate the best damn potluck gone fine dining experience you have ever been to! Join us at the table for a night that stimulates the cells and cerebrum through education and consumption.

Schedule:
Doors at 5pm includes a leisurely entry hour featuring a new mocktail line from our friends at Buchi Kombucha. Join us for fermented shrub sodas! Get your digestive tract prepared for whats to come on your plate this evening. This line of Buchi shrubs has not yet been released to the public!
Education 5:30-7:00pm
Imbibe on mocktails with us on the deck for folk and bluegrass as @Coy Wolf takes the stage. Followed by our speaker series featuring The Hawk & Hawthorne Presents an introduction to the land and its history by Michael Numinous. We welcome our keynote speaker for the evening, William Padilla-Brown of MycoSymbiotics LLC., to the stage to deliver a potent talk on the mycelial network we are designed to thrive in.
Dinner 7:15-9pm A family style brunch in an open air barn featuring whats traditional in southern cuisine married with what is local and in season on this very land and throughout the bio region. All ingredients are local, organically grown and ethically wildcrafted from our local community of the greater AVL area.
Entertainment 9:15pm-midnight Stay for a while wont you? Our special guests for the evening, Noah Proudfoot and The Botanicals, will be performing some new hits off their new album, which will be released this fall. Following, David Weber and Michael Numinous are curating interactive entertainment on stage and around the fire. Bring your instruments and your truth. We are all part of this act.
Menu:
This is a family style affair. Please come dressed up and comfortable. We will be dining in an open air barn on the historic land of The Hawk & Hawthorne. We ask that you bring your water bottle and a mug of your choice that we may fill with alcohol free libations throughout the evening!
Our food sourcing is organic, ethical, gluten free, local and in season.
Mocktail hour: Unreleased shrub mocktails from Buchi
Dinner:
We will move through a decadent buffet line on the deck to fill our plates with some vegan southern home cooking. When you find your seat you will also find the table laden with local delights to dress your plate with.
Table: Ghee, various jams, ramp salt, cashew kimchi, black pepper, hot sauce
VEGAN Buffet: Vegan + GF biscuits, Fire cider dressed collards, Reishi + nettle coconut cream gravy, Coconut corned grits, Maple facon cordyceps cakes

We will be filming the evening to generate content for The Hawk & Hawthorne, Noah Proudfoot and the Botanicals, and The NOHM and would like your consent to film you while you are on the land.
We will be shooting interviews, performances and candid shots for a music video featuring a song called "Travel Light" that Noah Proudfoot and the Botanicals will be releasing this fall! We will also be filming the dinner and the programming to create some content for a grant contest by Mountain Rose Herbs that The NOHM is applying for in efforts to lock in the capitol to make the CFD a regular happening in the Greater AVL area!
