We Were Friends #1 (Peterborough)
We Were Friends is an ongoing theatrical experience inspired by the enigmatic friendship between Margaret Fuller, journalist and activist, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, transcendentalist essayist and poet.
We Were Friends consists of 12 short performance pieces, or "episodes," that reimagine the lives of Emerson and Fuller, as placed in today's world. These 12 episodes will unfold over the next four years -- three episodes each year. Follow along with Ralph and Margaret's journey - and don't miss an episode!
Episode 1, running June 20-July 1 will be performed at five different outdoor locations in the Monadnock region. The show runs 40 minutes and audience will be seated on picnic blankets. (You may bring a chair if you prefer.) Please feel free to bring a picnic and eat with us during the show!
