12th Annual Noche En El Barrio Fundraiser

Fresno Barrios Unido's ("FBU") 2018 annual Dia De Los Muertos themed fundraiser will be held at 5:45 PM at Toca Madera Winery (36140 Ave 9, Madera, CA 93636). Entrance includes dinner, beer & wine, and various activities. There will be a silent and live auction proceeds to support FBU. Please come out and support us at Toca Madera!

About Our Organization

FBU formed in 1994 with four programs serving youth in southeast Fresno Today the organization has grown to ten distinct programs and serves nearly thirteen thousand youth and families across the Fresno metropolitan area. Our programs focus on youth development in the areas of civic engagement, character development and health education. Some of our programs currently include:

El Joven Noble (The Noble Youth). El Joven Noble is a development, support, and leadership program for male youth aged 12-24. FBU believes that young men need the guidance of other men, their families, and community; the program emphasizes acknowledgement, accountability, and goal setting.
Teen Success Inc. The Teen Success, Inc. program helps firsttime teen mothers succeed by providing the support they need to finish high school, develop concrete goals for their future, and prevent additional unplanned pregnancies.
Positive Prevention Plus. Positive Prevention Plus is a medically-accurate reproductive health education program that meets state standards. The program covers anatomy, birth control, STIs, dating violence, communication skills, and community resources. FBU provides reproductive health education for Fresno Unified School District.

FBU's staff members create a space where youth are supported and encouraged to reach their goals. Our co-directors Javier Guerrero and Lupita Ramirez agree that "the youth we work with
face many obstacles and roadblocks in life that often make it difficult to thrive. It is FBUs passion to elevate youths voice and empower them to reach their full potential."
