hope., an original multi-media one act with music performed in and through the audience "framed" by "Greetings From Zuccotti Park" by Mathew Septimus. Combining poetry, projection, burlesque and song, hope is a fast paced, uplifting exploration of theatre, love and of course, hope.
Over the course of several months, Matthew Septimus generated over1,200 images documenting the scores of people who were drawn to Lower Manhattan to experience the energy and potential of the Occupy Wall Street phenomenon. Using a vintage Rolleiflex camera, Septimus crafted intimate portraits revealing people's humanity, diversity, and complexity. "The protester," as seen through Septimus' lens, flies in the face of stereotypes. His photographs challenge us to see them more completely.
