June 16th, 1-6pm, in Macomb, Michigan _____________________________________
I don't know about you, but few things get me as excited as honest, open-hearted connection with other kind and compassionate human beings. I'm talking about the type of interactions that leave you feeling giddy and high, that reignite your belief in people, and in yourself.
That's what I'm going for in this workshop. Connection. Real connection. Let's go beyond the surface with one another and share what's true. Let's find some new friends and discover how to deepen our relationships with the old ones. At the same time, we'll work on deepening our relationship with ourselves.
My workshops right now are my very favorite things to do, and the main reason is because of what happens in the room among the group. There's so much openness and so much support for one another. It's like we become one loving family for the day. I leave every workshop feeling like I've connected yet again with members of my tribe. I leave reminded that there are so many good and courageous people out there, committed to growing in their love of themselves and each other. I leave inspired, every single time. Profoundly inspired.
Some of the themes we'll be working with are these: Communication: Making dialogues work for all involved. Authenticity: Discovering what is true for us. Vulnerability: Finding the courage to show up in our truth. Appreciation: Acknowledging the gifts in each other. Boundaries: Stating what does and doesn't work for us. Facing Fear: Developing a friendlier relationship with our fears.
There will be many interpersonal exercises, plenty of group discussion, and, of course, some journal writing. Lots of fun, too!
Expect connection. Real connection. Let's get to know some other great people in the Detroit area. Let's expand our circle of friends.
If the idea of real connection with strangers excites you, then this workshop is absolutely for you. If the idea of real connection with strangers excites but terrifies you, then this workshop is absolutely for you, too. The good stuff is almost always on the other side of our fear. If you're longing for conversations that go way deeper than the surface, you'll find them here.
As always, there will be ample opportunity to ask questions, and to share experiences, if you so choose. Please bring a journal or notebook.
The workshop will be taking place on Saturday, June 16th, from 1pm to 6pm, at The MIND's Eye Healing & Meditation Center in Macomb, Michigan.

Here's what past attendees had to say about Scott's workshops:
"I had no idea of the level of connection, insight and action that would be inspired by one afternoon workshop with Scott. Through love, candid conversation and creative exercises, I emerged ready to take on my fears and excited to make progress toward my dreams while gaining a new-found support network in the wonderful people I met during the workshop." - Kristin H.
"I can't say enough good things about Scott's workshop. He is such a warm and loving presence and it is felt the moment you enter the room. I felt safe and supported by not only Scott but the participants. I learned such valuable tools and techniques that afternoon. I have already put in to practice what I learned and will continue to do so for many years to come. Highly recommended." - Danelle S.
"If Scott comes to your town, GO to his workshop. Drop everything and GO. You will walk away feeling more aware of yourself, and most likely more at peace with yourself. I sure did. The writing exercises are exceptional, but there's something about Scott specifically that blew me away. Such wisdom and compassion. And he's really funny too. Like I said, JUST GO. You will be so grateful you did." - Jenny K.
