(e)motion: a dance showcase
Hamline Dance Ensembles (e)motion features new and previously staged work that exemplifies the Ensembles mission of being a laboratory for movement exploration and physical risk-taking. Much of the work showcased in (e)motion delves into the murky territory of moving through conflict. Artistic director Kaori Kenmotsus new work explores how catastrophes disrupt the sense of place and identity. (e)motion includes new work by noted Twin Cities choreographers Lisa Mona Lisa Berman, Judith James Ries, and Roxane Wallace in addition to new student work.
