Hawaii Tango Marathon 2019 January 25, 26, 27 in Honolulu, Hawaii
A high-level, warm-embrace Tango Marathon for experienced tango dancers featuring top deejays, special workshops, inspirational presentations, themed milongas, afternoon alternative practicas, sunset catamaran cruises, Sunday afternoon barbecue by the beach and live music. The venue, Aloha Dancesport Center features a quality, well-cushioned dance floor and a great sound system that makes this a comfortable and enjoyable event all weekend long and a great excuse to vacation in Hawaii this winter.

Catamaran Cruises! We will again offer Thursday and Friday Night Sunset Cruises. We can take up to 40 persons and both cruises sold out last year.
Thursday's Sunset cruise check-in is 6:00pm Friday's Fireworks cruise check-in is 6:45pm Price of the cruise is $35 includes the cruise and beverages. Payment is at the cruise to Captain of Catamaran. If you would like to join any of the cruises email me at islatango@hotmail.com to reserve your slot.
Were planning a Sunday afternoon casual outdoor tango potluck barbecue party at Kewalo Basin Park Pavilion located in the same area as the catamaran cruise docks, more toward the oceanside. Time: 3:00pm till sunset. The milonga venue is walking distance but we can provide carpool. Please contact me at islatango@hotmail.com if you are interested in attending.

The nearest hotels are the Pagoda Hotel, a bit dated but near the shopping center, also the Ala Moana Hotel next to Ala Moana Shopping Centre - Prices average $180/night.

Transportation suggestions: We now have BIKI rentals all over the city with complete bike racks and dozens of rentals at each station at major intersections and shopping/dining areas. Very near (across the street) are carshare stations as well.

*Saturday Workshop topic for Nick & Steph Modern Milongero Secrets (int or adv) These moves and techniques come from the new generation of Milongueros that frequent the most crowded and traditional milongas of Buenos Aires. We will cover how to create a warm circular embrace, rhythmic expression, and if the class is ready for it, giros! This class will use close embrace exclusively.
