Event
Flamenco Show at Jengo's Playhouse
Canadian guitarist and Alanna recording artist Ed Stephensons virtuosity extends throughout the Classical Spanish, Flamenco, and Flamenco Fusion genres. His Paco Band ensemble combines the raw emotion of Flamenco with the lyrical beauty of Classical Spanish and Nuevo Flamenco music. This soulful and technically brilliant group will simply dazzle you with their genre expanding compositions. The Classical Voice of North Carolina praised their album Esencia stating, It has all the characteristics and virtuosity of traditional flamenco guitar but falls outside or perhaps expands upon the limited traditional flamenco harmonies and structure. You find influences such as bossa nova or Latin, rock, jazz, swing and salsa, and others.
Legendary producer/manager Ray Williams (Elton John, Jeff Lynn,) was the creative force behind their latest album Rosamaria. This passionate and technically brilliant CD is not limited to traditional flamenco guitar virtuosity. It has splashes of shredding electric guitar in Malaguena haunting and pristine vocals in Agua Dulce and a styling reminiscent of Rodrigo y Gabriela in De Casualidad.
Purchase tickets in advance for $12 for adults and $5 for Students/Seniors/Military. Tickets at the door are $20 for adults and $5 for Students/Seniors/Military.
