Beneath the Bassline - Film Screening
Previously screened at London's Doc 'n Roll Festival, this final version of Beneath the Bassline has been recut and coloured for its official release.
STORY: Beneath The Bassline brings together some of the finest bass players on the planet. Travelling to Club Bonafide in Manhattan, Dingwall Guitars in Canada, Fodera Guitars in Brooklyn, Sadowsky Guitars in Long Island City and Aguilar Amplification in Manhattan's Soho district featuring interviews with the likes of Will Lee, Richard Bona, Bootsy Collins, Duff McKagan, Felix Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Robert Trujillo, Michael League, Nathan East and many others.
"This is a film for anyone who loves the bass guitar," says Director Nick Wells. "We wanted to get to grips with what really makes these guys tick, find out how they evolved their respective sounds and styles, and get a glimpse into their world in a way that I don't think any other documentary has."
Join us for this London screening, which includes a Q+A with Director Nick Wells hosted by Stefan Redtenbacher, bandleader and bassist with Redtenbacher's Funkestra. We'll also have our film crew at the ready to capture your feedback from the audience; this is your chance to be a part of the movie!
