Opah - A Sustainable Seafood Event
A multi-course Opah dinner showcasing the Fishing, Science and Culinary industries coming together to promote sustainable practices.
The night will begin with Tommy Gomes, of Catalina Offshore Products, putting on a demonstration in our patio where he will be breaking down an entire Opah fish and discussing the Opah and the local fishing and culinary industries and how they have worked together to educate the public about Opah and the sustainable aspects of Opah. We will be making appetizers out of the fish that Tommy breaks down during the demonstration.
We will then move inside our dining room to sit down and dine. Sarah Mesnick, NOAA scientist, will lead a brief talk about Opah's history, habitat and sustainable practices in general.
