20MOONS dance theatre explores new frontiers, diving deep into personal stories portrayed through words, music and movement. Truly site-inspired, our production takes place in the Barbara Conrad Gallery at the Durango Art Center in conjunction with visual art installation, "The Wall". Our performance echos and augments this multi-disciplinary installation that features the work of 7 visual artists examining the implications of barriers. Seven dancers and one musician reveal stories of facing the interior "walls" that serve alternately to protect us or prevent us from growing; and as the stories weave together we recognize the common threads that connect us all in the greater story of humanity.
