CRAFT BEER TASTING PARTY
Were back at it with our usual chill vibes and fun times for a very special flamboyant farewell for our beloved bar. For this years spring event we are having a LAST CALL AT THE COBALT EDITION of Queers & Beers!
Its with many tears and a heavy heart that we will be pouring our final pint at The Cobalt- on April 29th well be throwing the very last queer event at The Cobalt for the foreseeable future :( SO lets raise our glasses in the air and give our home away from home the send off it deserves Queers & Beers style! Let's say goodbye to our dearest dive bar with a night of craft brews at East Vans favourite hangout party. Join us for our very special farewell to The Cobalt edition of Queers & Beers, and well al drown our sorrows away by enjoying a nice frothy pint of the best damn beer (or cider) around.
ps we promise this isnt the end of Queers & Beer, but rather a the start of a whole new chapter, well be back at ch ya in no time!

ACCESSIBILITY INFO: The Cobalt and Boxcar are both ground level with entrances that are 32.5in wide. The Cobalt side of the bar has an accessible washroom available and door staff will be available to help open doors between areas. Considering the nature of the venue, a bar which holds multiple events, we are unable to offer a scent-reduced space at this time.
THE BUDDY SYSTEM:
The Buddy System is a grassroots effort to combat rape culture and enhance the safety of our queer events. CONSENT IS SEXY -- AND MANDATORY! Oppressive attitudes and behaviour -- including but not limited to misogyny, transphobia, racism, fatphobia, and ableism -- are not welcome here. The Buddy System will be in effect at Queers & Beers: Pride Edition. Buddies will be wearing **NEON T-SHIRTS**. Our Buddies are NARCAN trained, and are carrying sealed water bottles, condoms, lube, granola bars, tampons, and more. They will run interference if someone is receiving unwanted attention, can help someone find a way home and generally serve as go-to support people should any problems arise.
Queers & Beers is an event is being held on unceded Indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples. This includes the territories of the Musqueam, Skxwú7mesh-ulh, Stó:lo & Tsleil-Waututh nations. In recognition of this, and of the historical and ongoing genocide against the Indigenous Peoples of this land, we (settlers/occupiers) will be donating a portion of profits from each event to Indigenous Self-Determination work.
