We warmly invite you to a special Song of the Soul' Workshop and 'Ceremonial Concert' with Song-keeper Ayla Schafer, travelling back to the UK on one of her rare visits and sharing her stunning medicine music. This is to be a powerful, intimate and heart opening journey.

Ayla is a multi-lingual world folk singer-songwriter and a visionary musical artist weaving together a stunning repertoire of original poetic songs with traditional and tribal music, her music expressing a passionate dedication to earth consciousness and the sacred ancient wisdoms.
To experience the essence of this young songstress is to be taken down an enchanting musical journey that ultimately leads us back to the very core of our own inner existence.

There will be a light dinner available from 6.30pm for those who wish to either arrive early or those staying for the evening concert after the workshop
There will be Home/love made - Chai, Cake and Delicious raw treats
People have the option to camp overnight if you are coming from afar or just want to make a weekend of it- £8 pp per night

Each one of us carries our unique soul voice, a powerful and beautiful tool of expression gifted to us to connect and communicate with life. Our Song of our soul is our intimate expression of our true nature, our spontaneous sound of our spirit.

This workshop is held as a ceremonial journey with the power of our voice to awaken the expression of our souls song. We will learn indigenous chants played with drum and rattle along with other accapella medicine songs; working alongside the supporting energies of the surrounding nature, the guidance of the healing medicine and teachings from these ancient lineages.
We will:
*Go on a drum journey to find our Soul voice
*Learn traditional global tribal songs
*Play with drum/rattle
*Vocal channeling of the elements of nature
*Connecting to the Earth energies using our breath and voice.
* Use different exercises to liberate our voice and learn how to use the voice as a tool for healing, communication and free expression.
*Explore harmonies and improvisation
*Work with traditional rituals that support us to ignite our authentic inner connection to the song within our own being and to focus our offering and intentions.
To truly sing is a journey of remembering, getting out of the way and trusting in ourselves as we surrender to the spirit of sound in us.
This space will create an opportunity for a deep discovery and opening of our voice that is born from our connection with our heart, each other and ancient sacred ways. Together we will remember how to use song as tribal people have done for millennia, to connect and speak with the spirit of life, to celebrate, to pray and to give flight to our intentions and dreams.
This workshop is beneficial for singers on all stages of the journey, from very beginner to advanced.
Please bring with you:
A pen and paper
A drum and/or Rattle
Water
Something comfy to sit on (Sheepskin/cushion) and a back rest if you have one
A stone, a flower and a feather to give as an offering
