Jami Sieber in Concert with special guest, Agu

Jami has performed Angel Arms Works many times over the years and it is one of her favorite venues. Come join Jami and singing bowl artist, Agu, in this beautiful artist studio/renovated church owned and designed by Karen Guzak and Warner Blake. Doors open at 4pm - concert begins at 4:30. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine under $10 to share. Light refreshments will be served.

Electric cellist and vocalist Jami Sieber reaches inside the soul with compositions that are contemporary, timeless, lush, and powerfully evocative. Her style of performance has been recognized internationally. Her music transforms from the deepest stillness to moving melodies and rhythms that light the soul on fire. Her life-long commitment to the environment, social justice, and the healing arts is at the heart of her music, reflecting a deep dedication to the arts as a medium of exploration and awareness of the interconnectedness of all beings.

Jami is a performer that makes transformation appear simple, taking a traditionally classical instrument and morphing it into the source of a multi-dimensional range of expressive works. In the 30 years since she began performing professionally, Jami has always done something unique employing electronics and looping techniques to create sounds never before associated with the cello before.

Agu will be sharing the evening with Jami and offering her singing bowls as a way of deepening the musical experience. Agus debut recording, Reach In, reveals a rich, contemplative acoustic sound of uninterrupted beauty that musically guides the mind and body to Relax, Focus, Create, and Awaken the gifts within.
