Arash Moradi Support by Arslan Muzika Undercurrent Sessions
Arash Moradi, son of the legendary Ali Akbar Moradi the most eminent tanbur master of our time grew up in Kermanshah. Since 2000, he has been living in London. The Yaresan tanbur tradition is his soul; London his home. Having extensively performed with some of the most prominent musicians of Iran, the Middle East and Western Europe, in significant concert halls and festivals in Europe and the USA, Arash is now proposing his own composition work. Careful not to betray his tradition his essence as a person he builds a bridge to his life and musical experience in the West. In this sense, he has put together an orchestrating scheme that focuses on the tanburits modes, techniques and sounds as a path to a new mystic experience, a Bridge from the holy Yaresan lands to the World.

Arslan Muzika: Arslanagic is the family name of sibling duo Anisa and Samir. Devon-born and British/Bosnian, they each followed separate musical and life paths until recently uniting to form a new musical creation. With both original and reinvented music inspired by the Balkans, classical and folk, their natural musical connection and heritage is embraced. Through the violin and guitar, and occasional appearance of accordion and trumpet, their musical explorations take the audience from ambient melancholic Bosnian Sevdah, to the fiery music of the Roma and beyond.
Ani's passion for diverse music has led her to recording and performing on an array of international platforms (from the Royal Albert Hall to Chernobyl's Exclusion Zone) with her own groups as well as with artists including Bonobo, Kate Tempest, Portico Quartet and Paolo Nutini. She is currently on tour with folk-rock band the Levellers, having recently recorded with them at Abbey Road Studios. You can hear her playing with one of her London-based bands here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtOECeh4fXU Sam enjoys writing his own music and you can hear him with his band 'Sam I Am and the Green Egg Band' here https://samiamandthegreeneggband.bandcamp.com/
