2018 Chester County Blues BBQ

The Blues Barbecue will be held June 2 Rain or Shine!

There is a large tent for shelter and you are welcome to bring your own canopies.

The Chester County Blues BBQ is an annual event sponsored by the Coventry Lions Club featuring regional and national Blues performers. All proceeds from the event go to support the charitable activities of the Lions Club.

Tickets for the event are $15 in advance online or $20 in cash at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Online tickets sales will be suspended at 9am on the day of the event. Tickets will only be available at the gate after that time for $20 (cash).

Food, refreshments and beer will be available for purchase from vendors on site. Admission ticket does not include food and beverage. We recommend bringing a folding chair for seating. Coolers are permitted.

The lineup for this year's event includes the following great performers:

GARY ALLEGRETTO
Blues Revue Magazine states, "Gary Allegretto is one of the best harp players you'll hear" and "one of the classiest acts in the music business today, working with only the best backup musicians and taking the time to craft music noted not only for it's quality but for it's authenticity". Indeed, the internationally touring, Los Angeles-based Bluesman has been honored by the Blues Foundation's prestigious "Keeping the Blues Alive Award". His renowned performances have captivated audiences around the globe. Further, Gary's critically acclaimed music has been considered for two Grammy Award nominations, topped the Blues and Roots radio charts, and been featured on the soundtracks of major motion pictures and television programs.

VANESSA COLLIER
At 27 years of age, master musician and multi-talented blues performer Vanessa Collier has become an in-demand artist, bringing her charismatic charm, passionate and fiery performances, soulful voice, searing saxophone solos, and witty songwriting to the stage. Over the past year, Vanessa toured through 11 countries, alternating between tour legs in Europe as a featured artist with Ruf's Blues Caravan and back in the U.S. and Canada with her talented 5-piece band.In 2017, Vanessa continued her success with the release of her sophomore album Meeting My Shadow, earning many prestigious honors and awards, including two 2018 Blues Music Award nominations for Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year and Instrumental Horn Player of the Year.

VOODOO DEVILLE
The Voodoo DeVille band has been a local Chester County favorite since 1998. While Chicago blues was their starting point, their repertoire has expanded to include jump, boogie, swing, early rock 'n roll, and rockabilly. Counting many of the greats as their idols and influences, they don't feel bound to stick strictly to one style or one way of playing. If it's fun to play, then it's in their set list. The music is upbeat and danceable and proven to please a wide range of audiences. Voodoo DeVille's lineup includes Lori Cushman on lead vocals, Buddy Cleveland on harmonica, Steve Cocchi on keyboards and lead guitar, George Dulchinos also on guitar and tenor saxophonist is Paul Cleveland. The rhythm section includes Ray Bentley on bass and Greg Zeller on drums.
